Obverse: The center of the obverse of the coin depicts a crowned and veiled bust of Queen Victoria. A legend and the coin designer's initialsis are engraved around it "VICTORIA·DEI·GRA·BRITT·REGINA·FID·DEF·IND·IMP·T·B·" (Victoria by the Grace of God Queen of the Britains Defender of the Faith Empress of India).
Reverse: The central part shows the denomination, which divides the issue date of the coin into two parts. A crown is depicted above the denomination, and oak branches below.
