The bottom of the coin features the weight and gold purity "FINE GOLD 1 g OR PUR".
Obverse: Coin weight and gold purity "1 g 9999 FINE GOLD" are written at the top of the back of the certificate. the bottom of the certificate also includes the weight of the coin and the gold gem "1 g OR PUR", below the unique certificate number. The obverse of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II (a constitutional monarchy in Canada, where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is also a Canadian monarch). The Queen's name, "ELIZABETH II", and "50 CENTS" at the bottom, are minted at the top of the coin.
