Obverse: the center of the coin depicts the famous angel motif by Renaissance painter Raphael from the painting “Sistine Madonna”. The winged angel rests his head on his hands and looks upward. At the bottom of the coin the inscription “Guardian Angel” is engraved.
Reverse: the center of the coin shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad with a goat and a lion. Above it is the gold fineness inscription “999/1000 FINE GOLD”. Around the rim are the country name “REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD” and the face value “3000 FRANCS CFA”.
