Using advanced XRF (X-ray fluorescence) technology, a chemical analysis of the surface layers of the examined object is performed. The client is provided with information about the identified metals and their surface proportions, allowing an assessment of metal composition, fineness, and potential authenticity.
XRF analysis is a widely used international practice, offering a fast and non-destructive method to obtain objective data within minutes. The examination is carried out without any mechanical or chemical impact and does not damage the tested item.
Important: XRF analysis does not guarantee 100% authenticity of gold or other precious metals throughout the entire object if it is covered with a thick layer of another metal or alloy. In such cases, only the surface composition is determined, which may not reflect the internal structure. Therefore, XRF testing is considered an indicative evaluation method rather than absolute proof of authenticity for complex or multilayer objects.
