Obverse: the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II in the centre of the obverse. The coin is also embossed with the words 'ELIZABETH II', the country of origin 'AUSTRALIA', the year of issue '2000', the denomination '5 DOLLARS' and the designer's initials 'RDM'.
Reverse: the coin features three radiating circular images in the centre of the reverse, a city skyline, radio telescopes and the cooling towers of a power station, with the logo of the Olympic Games in colour at the bottom.
About the coin: This silver coin was issued to commemorate the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The coin is part of the Sydney Olympics series of 16 silver coins. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley and the reverse by Stuart Devlin.
