About the coin: This silver coin was issued in Cuba in 1981 to draw attention to the Cuban crocodile. The Cuban crocodile is one of the smallest crocodilian species, usually less than 3.5 meters long (compared to the Nile and Marine crocodiles, which can reach 7 meters). Most of them currently live in the Cienaga de Zapata Nature Reserve.
