Obverse: the coin depicts King George VI of Great Britain in the centre of the obverse. The centre of the coin is centred on George VI King Emperor.
Reverse: In the centre of the coin is a minted circle within which the year of issue is engraved, separating the denomination in English 'HALF RUPEE' and Persian 'هشت آنہ'. On the outside of the circle is a wreath of roses, clover leaves and lotus flowers. All this is surrounded by a toothed frame.
About the coin: This is a half-rupee silver coin issued in India during the reign of King George VI from 1942 to 1945. The coin was engraved by Percy Metcalfe.
