Obverse: the Mongolian symbol, which is also on the flag, is minted in the centre of the obverse. It is an arrangement of abstract and geometric columns of fire, sun, moon, earth, water and taijitu or yin-yang. The words 'MONGOΛУΛС' (MONGOLIA) are embossed at the bottom. The year '1992' is embossed below the name of the country.
Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows two horses riding to the left. The denomination of the coin is embossed '250 TӨГРӨГ' (250 tugrikos) below them. Also the words 'ENDANGERED WILDLIFE'.
