Obverse: the obverse design consists of an artistic representation of the four Hebrew letters forming the word 'Shalom', with three of the seven branches of the Menorah on the right side. The denomination '10 Israeli Lirot' in Hebrew and the year of issue '5729-1969' are embossed above.
Reverse: in the centre, the Hebrew part of the verse dedicated to Moses (in English, and no one knew his tomb) is embossed, the letters are arranged in the form of a monument, and at the bottom is the reference 'Deuteronomy 34:6' (in English, Deuteronomy, chapter 34, verse 6). Below the reference, on the right-hand side, a steel helmet is carved and covered with a net from which grows an olive tree sapling. In the central part is the Hebrew name of the country of origin, 'Israel'.
About the coin: this is a silver coin of 10 lire issued in Israel in 1969 to commemorate the 21st anniversary of Independence. The coin was designed by Zelig Segal.
