Obverse: The obverse of the coin features a left-facing portrait of King Gustaf V. Surrounding the portrait is the inscription of the king’s name and title “gustaf v sveriges konung”, along with his motto “med folket för fosterlandet” (with the people for the fatherland). To the left of the neck truncation is the mint mark of the city of stockholm, while to the right appears the initial “g” of the mint director. Above is the engraver’s signature “el”. The obverse was designed by erik lindberg.
Reverse: The reverse depicts a shield bearing the three crowns of sweden above a cross. Around the shield is the legend and dates “1435 sveriges riksdag 1935”, with the denomination “5 kronor” below. The design symbolises the swedish parliament and the continuity of the state.

It is struck in .900 fine silver, weighs 25 g and has a diameter of 36 mm.
