Obverse: The center of the coin features The Little Prince, the famous literary character created by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Next to him is the stylized number 80, marking the 80th anniversary of the creation of The Little Prince. At the top appears the inscription Le Petit Prince, and at the bottom – the year of issue 2026. The outer ring displays the twelve stars of the European Union.
Reverse: The reverse of the coin features the common design used on all 2 euro coins: a geographical map of Western Europe positioned on the right side of the coin, covering both the inner and outer parts. The inscription 2 EURO appears at the top of the map, with the numeral 2 placed over the Atlantic Ocean background. The outer ring contains 12 stars positioned on both sides of the map, with vertical lines visually connecting the upper and lower stars.
