Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts a portrait of King George I's head to the right, with an arc along the edge to engrave the words: “Α Α! ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ (eng. George I the king of Greece) and minting data "1884".
Reverse: weapons in a crowned mantle, below the denomination "20 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ". Along the edge, the letters are engraved in an arc: "ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ ΙΣΧΥΣ ΜΟΥ Η ΑΓΑΠΗ" (eng. The Kingdom of Greece, in my strength the love of the people").
