Obverse: The coins depict Lucien I Grimaldi, founder of the Principality of Monaco. The coin depicts the inscription 1512 SOUVERAINETE DE MONACO 2012 in the coin. The bottom of the coin depicts the Devil's Horn - Monnaie de Paris mint mark and the right-hand side of the flagrette, the engraver sign. Lucien Ier, the founder's name engraved above the mint mark. In the outer part of the coin (ring) there are twelve stars of the European Union.
Reverse: Regular 2€ denomination.
