Avers: Center of the coin depicts a bronze sculpture called Italian road. The sculptor Donatello work was completed around 1440 and is currently on display at the Museum of the Bargello in Florence. Coins on the left side of the mint initials and meaning of the Italian Republic, slightly below the jubilee years 1466 - 2016. Coins minted in the lower part of the word DONATELLO. Also at the top of the coin hammered alphabet R represents the Roman mint. Coins on the right side of the designer's initials C. M.
Reverse: The usual € 2 coin obverse image of the face value.
About the coin: The coin dedicated to Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi, better known as Donatello, the sculptor of the early Renaissance Florence. Coin dedicated for Donatello 550th death anniversary.
