Obverse: coin depicts Mark Aurelius, one of the most famous emperors of the Roman Empire. His image is taken from his authentic sculpture in the Archaeological Museum. The name "REPVBLICA ITALIANA" (Italian Republic) is inscribed around it.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts Emperor Mark Aurelius riding a horse (the image is also taken from his statue in Rome). The legend "MARCVS AVRELIVS", the denomination "10 EVRO" and the year of minting "2020" are engraved on the left side of the coin. The letter "R" is engraved on the right-hand side of the coin, which is the mark of the Roman Mint.
