Obverse: The obverse features a crowned Burgundian cross, also known as St Andrew's cross, formed by two crossed branches. At its centre is a stylised firesteel, a traditional Burgundian emblem, with the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended below. Crowned monograms of the rulers appear on either side. The surrounding Latin inscription reads “ALBERTVS ET ELISABET DEI GRATIA”, meaning “Albert and Isabella, by the Grace of God”.

Reverse: The reverse depicts the crowned Habsburg coat of arms, surrounded by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The heraldic shield incorporates symbols representing the rulers' dynastic territories. The surrounding Latin inscription includes their titles as Archdukes of Austria and Dukes of Burgundy and Brabant.

About the coin: The silver 1/2 Patagon was issued in the early 17th century in the Spanish Netherlands during the joint rule of Archduke Albert VII and Isabella Clara Eugenia (1598–1621).

The half Patagon was valued at 24 stuivers and served as a silver denomination for trade and payments. Its design reflects Habsburg authority and the rich heraldic traditions of Burgundy.

The standard weight is 14.05 g, with .875 silver fineness, approximately 12.29 g of pure silver and a diameter of around 36 mm. These coins were struck by hand, meaning individual examples may vary slightly in shape, dimensions and strike quality.

This example has been certified by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) and is housed in a protective NGC holder.
