The Trevi Fountain is the façade of a large building designed by architect Nicola Salvi in 1735. The sculptures in the fountain were designed by artists from the Bernini School. The Trevi Fountain is popular not only for its clear water but also for the legend that to return to Rome again, it is necessary to throw a coin over the left shoulder with your right hand facing your back.
