The border of the coin is decorated with detailed motifs of Australian flora.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts an impressive landscape celebrating the wildlife and rugged Australian outback. Kangaroos are shown beside a watering hole, emus appear in the distance, eagles soar above the landscape, a dingo howls from the rocks, and a frilled-neck lizard is depicted in the foreground. The composition is complemented by native vegetation, rocky formations and a rising sun. On the right are the Perth Mint “P” mintmark and designer Jennifer McKenna’s initials “JM”, while the year of issue “2026” appears at the bottom.

The coin is struck from 99.99% pure silver and contains 1 troy ounce (31.107 g) of silver. It measures 40.9 mm in diameter and 3.5 mm in thickness, with a face value of 1 Australian dollar. The coin also incorporates a micro-laser engraved security feature that can be viewed with a magnifying glass and helps protect against counterfeiting.
