About the coin: Issued by the Bank of Estonia in 2017, this commemorative coin is dedicated to Tallinn as a historic member of the Hanseatic League. It launched a series of collector coins dedicated to Estonia’s Hanseatic towns. During the Hanseatic period, Tallinn was an important trading centre connecting the Baltic region with other European cities. The coin was designed by Riho Luuse. It was struck in 925 silver in Proof quality, with a mintage of 5,000 pieces.
