Obverse: In the center of the coin stylized portray the Elysee Treaty signatories (the Federal Republic of Germany Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and French President Charles de Gaulle), portraits and signatures. It also minted the words "50 ANS JAHRE", coins engraved in the center of the coin mintage year 2013, in the top of the coin is minted words "TRAITÉ DE L’ÉLYSÉE" (Elysee Treaty), and at the bottom, the same words in French "ÉLYSÉE-VERTRAG". In the coin little below German Chancellor portrait also minted a letters RF which marks Republic France. Coins ring superimposed twelve stars of the European Union.

Reverse: Regular 2 euro denomination number.

Weight: 8.50 g.

Thickness: 2.20 mm.
