The text "International Year of Plant Health" is engraved on the top of the coin, with the Royal Mint of Belgium (coat of arms of the Municipality of Herzel) and its insignia next to the text. The year of mintage is 2020 and the Belgian code is BE at the bottom of the coin.
Reverse: Regular 2 euro denomination.
About the coin: this coin is dedicated to the 2020 International Year of Plant Protection, announced by the United Nations General Assembly. 2018 On 20 December, the United Nations General Assembly in New York declared 2020 the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH). This is expected to raise public and policy-makers' awareness of the importance of healthy plants and the need to protect them, and thus achieve the United Nations sustainable development goals.
