Obverse: The coin depicts ancient sculpture - discus thrower determined to throw the disc. On the left side of the coin engraved in five Olympics rings, over which is superimposed the words "ATHENS 2004". On the right side of the coin is inscribed the number "2" and underneath it the Greek word "ΕΥΡΩ" (2 euros). Coins in the outer ring of 12 stars of the European Union and the bottom of the coin mintage year 2004.
Reverse: Regular 2€ coin image of the face value.
About the coin: This is the first 2-euro commemorative coin minted in 2004 and dedicated to the Athens Olympic Games.
