Obverse: center of the coin depicts two masks mosaic, made of marble. Masks are of the two types of the new comedy created by the Hellenistic period. Female mask depicts a woman with big eyes and mouth wide open, while a man facial features depicted in the mask with a sarcastic smile. Above masks carved initials and representing the Italian Republic.
