Obverse: the centre of the coin features the coat of arms of the Republic of Cameroon with scales and a sword, symbolising justice and state authority. Above it is the national motto “PAIX • TRAVAIL • PATRIE” (Peace • Work • Fatherland). The denomination “2000 FRANCS CFA” is inscribed in a semicircle around the design. On the left appears the silver fineness “Ag 999”, on the right – the year “2024”. At the bottom is the inscription “RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN”. Decorative architectural elements enrich the background.
Reverse: the reverse depicts a mythical creature – a gargoyle with spread wings, perched on a Gothic building. At the top is the inscription “I HAUNT YOUR DREAMS”. The detailed relief, powerful form and dark appearance create a mysterious atmosphere.
About the coin: the “Dream Haunter” silver coin is a collector’s issue inspired by the legends of gargoyles. Historically, gargoyles served both as architectural rainwater spouts and as symbolic protectors against evil forces. The coin is struck in .999 fine silver, weighs 2 oz and has a face value of 2000 CFA francs. The 2024 Cameroon issue is highly valued by collectors.
