About the coin: Issued in 1974, this 50 Schilling silver commemorative coin celebrates the 50th anniversary of Austrian radio broadcasting. It is the only coin of the 50-Schilling series struck in .640 fine silver. Weight: 20 g; diameter: 33.5 mm. The obverse was designed by Edwin Grienauer, and the reverse by Helga Wenisch. The edge is smooth with recessed lettering FUENFZIG SCHILLING.
